My students have worked so hard this year to finally become proficient readers, writers and mathematicians! Their faces just light up when they realize all of the progress they have made. Unfortunately, most of my students come from low income families and struggle to get access to books, computers and any other learning materials over the summer. We are requesting Summer Bridge activities books for Grades 1 - 2. I fear that my students are susceptible to the dreadful summer slump where they loose a lot of the learning momentum that they have gained during the year! Please help my students maintain and/or progress in their abilities over the summer, they really deserve a fighting chance at being successful in the future!
