This classroom subscription to Scholastic's Scope magazine will make a difference in our classroom because it will bring inspirational stories from all over the world into the hands of my students, as well as support their language arts skills. This resource will be the perfect addition to our classroom because our curriculum focuses on language arts and social studies. I have used this resource in classrooms in the past and have witnessed the power it has to motivate students to read and to inspire them to become a global citizen. My students need this magazine to open up their minds and hearts to the world outside of what they see every day and to allow them the opportunity to read powerful culturally diverse stories of people overcoming obstacles. We will be sharing the twenty-six issues between two classes of twenty-five to minimize costs and efficiently use this resource. This subscription provides rigorous and engaging text that will be used weekly as part of our curriculum with the magazine and online resources that are available.
