My class is equipped with desks we bought from a "junk" store. Desk are slanted. Science experiments and activities are often ruined because of things being knocked over or spills. My students love hand on STEM-Type activities but it is very hard to plan safe activities because of the danger of accidents during the activities. The tables I am requesting will allow us to remove all the desks then place nice flat tables in the classroom to use for hands-on activities. The number of activities will be able to be increased and the students engagement will escalate. I will not worry as much about a student getting hurt while engaging in an activity with a flat, wide surface to keep material organized.
