Each day the newcomer ELLs meet for targeted English language instruction. Students are eagerly working on literacy skills in English that will help them access challenging materials throughout the day. Having access to tablets will help students practice the skills they learn in their English class. Anyone who has attempted to learn a new language knows that if you do not practice what you have learned, you will lose the gains you have made. The tablets will allow students to access English programs that will meet them at their specific level and build their skills from there. At the same time the tablets keep students incredibly engaged and motivated!
