I am the literacy and math interventionist at a STEM school in Chicago and my students have extremely different learning styles. Some of my children have difficulty focusing unless they are engaged on hands on tasks. Many of my students have special needs and use technology to assist them with day to day tasks. I pull small groups of students and work with them on skills they need to achieve and perform well in their general classrooms. My students need a set of tablets to help close the achievement gap between them and their peers. With their kindles, my small groups will be engaged in different activities to fit their learning styles. They will be able to play engaging academic games, complete tasks that are aligned to their individualized learning plans and focus on key skills while I am working one on one with other students.
