My students need a classroom library to help encourage their love of reading. Currently, we have books that are several years old, well used, and below interest level. With the High Interest, Low Readability books and magazines I will be able to help my students find a book that is not only the right level for them, but also something they find interesting. Students are more eager to read when it is something that they have chosen for themselves. By creating an extensive classroom library I will be able to give them the chance to choose their own silent reading book, and not waste reading time going to the library every time they forget their book.
