With the ever-changing needs of our students, I would like to expand our library to remain relevant and bridge the gap and provide resources to all our students. I would like to provide students with hands-on learning experiences through the implementation of a makerspace. Integrating a makerspace within the school library, will boost my students' imagination and help them think outside the box. Makerspaces build creativity, imagination, and innovation with students. It also develops collaboration among students. It can also be connected to the curriculum. A makerspace will enhance the existing program. One of the goals is for students to also start checking out books that are related to the projects that they are working on. In order to build our makerspace we need the items I have requested, such as LEGOs, Botley robot, and K'NEX, for my students to use.
