My special education students need a variety of materials to learn mathematical and social skills. The materials I've chosen for my project are intended to set up a collaborative classroom environment that address various student learning styles and different modalities. We are looking to complete group projects while also increasing the discourse and rigor in our classroom. The dry erase charts and markers increase engagement; they allow students with dysgraphia to access writing tasks more easily and allow visually impaired students to have larger visuals. The geometric solids allow students to explore a physical model and unwrap the nets while headphones support auditory learners.
