These new books will be put in the classroom library book baskets where students can access them anytime. Also, students will be able to keep books that are of high interest to them in their personal classroom book boxes and fill their "just right" bags with books to take home and read with their families. These new books will get students excited about reading and give them opportunities to grow as learners and readers. The multiple copies will also improve our buddy reading time, which is vital to kindergarteners as they gain confidence and fluency in reading. With a better selection of fiction and non-fiction books at a level students can read and reread, I believe my students will learn to love reading and grow into great readers! Having multiple copies of these great books is necessary for the success of our reading program.
