I have chosen different options for my students to have in the classroom to increase their engagement in learning. All students deserve a classroom learning environment that has furniture and seating options that will allow each learner to do their best. I have chosen lap desks for students to work on the floor or to put on top of their regular desk in order to stand up when they work. I have chosen kneeling pads for the students to use while at a low table or as a seat cushion on the floor. My goal was to add items to my classroom that can be used in many ways to increase student attention and independence. I have students who want to be active all the time and are more focused when standing up. I have students who prefer to sit on the floor and need a laptop desk so they don't get a headache from looking down. All these options will allow my students to meet the high expectations I have for them every day.
