Students will learn how to use photography to create and share their perspectives and their world views. While our students have a 'make it work' mentality, photography opens a new world of creativity. Those students struggling to find their voice in pencil or paintbrush will find doors opening. Students will learn how to use the camera to tell their story and their views on the world. Yet, there is more to photography than just point and click. Students will learn about photojournalism, visual reporting, portraiture, and more. Photography is a unique and personal art medium that anyone and everyone can enjoy. While we challenge our students through traditional media like painting, drawing, and sculpture, photography is not currently available at this time due to lack of equipment. Our students deserve the opportunity to try this modern media.
