Hands-on use of microscopes will engage students in the study of the basic cellular structures to the myriad of multicellular organisms comprising our world! Our science curriculum places emphasis on the use of microscopes, cell structures, and diversity of life, but our budget does not allow for the purchase of microscopes. Students will be using these microscopes to study the cell structures of plants, cheek cells, and single-celled organisms such as paramecium, amoebae, and flagellates. It is my hope to provide my students with a greater view of our world, and inspire one or more of them to pursue a path of study in the sciences.
