My students participate in collaborative study groups and tutorials to prepare them for working in these type of situations at the college level. This also allows me to help them build skills for presenting in a career presentation also. Students must work through areas that they do not understand through collaboration with peers and inquiry. They will document on the easel what they understand and how it develops throughout the discussion. Since they are in groups, each group will need a place to document their information as they work to complete the problems they were having trouble on. They learn to speak in front of their peers, identify their problems, and work through those through teamwork.
