We serve a very diverse population. Our school borders Chicago. 80% of our families qualify for free/reduced lunch. 45% of our students are limited English proficient. Many of our students have experienced the stress that accompanies living in poverty. We have both regular education and special education students included in our classroom dynamic all day long. All together our students are very hard working and eager to learn. They are grateful for any materials donated to our classroom that can enhance their learning experience. Our school is on the edge of best teaching practices. We are offered collections of professional development to ensure we are the best teachers we can be. We are highly supported by our administration which encourages us to want to work harder to improve our students lives and opportunities.
