Since my students have different learning styles, I feel as incorporating Apple iPads as a form of technology usage in our classroom will better prepare them for the future jobs in this modern world where technology is continuing to evolve.
I will use the Apple iPads in many ways. I will help my students build their reading skills by giving children the opportunity to use technology as part of their readers workshop. I will help my students build writing skills by allowing them to use the Apple iPads to write about informational, opinion, or narrative writing pieces. I will help them learn their math skills by adding programs to the Apple iPads that will give them extra practice or even challenge them on numbers, operations, addition facts, subtraction facts, or word problems. The Apple iPads will also be used for science and social studies where my students will be able to research and complete reports on topics learned. I will even incorporate the Apple iPads in different stations where my student can feel free to record their reflection about a story or assignment instead of writing it down.
My goal is to find different ways to incorporate technology as part of the learning process for my students so that they are better prepared for middle school, high school, college and the future jobs to come.
