These everyday items are items I buy out of pocket for my students every year because parents can not afford to buy them themselves. With my project, my students will have the following basic necessities that their parents simply can not afford to purchase on their own; folders, pencils, paper, notebooks, crayons, pencil boxes and glue. I have also included items needed, such as post it’s, pens and expo markers. My students face violence and a lot of adult issues daily so included a rug and bean bag chairs so that I could make my classroom a safe environment with a calming zone. I want my students to come in and have a safe zone to read or just sit and relax Please help me, help my students, achieve all they are capable of with these items that most students take for granted. As a teacher of special needs, we work in small groups and students learn best when given the high intensity learning that occurs in these small groups, and these supplies keep them organized and motivated to learn.
