I currently instruct 18 great first graders! My class consists of 13 curious boys and 5 observant girls. They are poverty stricken children hailing mostly from single parent environments. The school has a 99 percent free lunch count and is a Title I school. Therefore, this incubator project would allow me to teach hands on inquiry based science without having to raise the money for a trip to a farm; an experience that many of their suburban counterparts experience before entering school.
