These materials will help my squiggly learners keep themselves calm and ready to learn. I have many students that have different behavioral needs. this means sometimes traditional chairs don’t work too well. Having stability ball chairs, as well as the wiggle chairs give my students the ability to keep their bodies in motion, while still sitting attentively. For students who can use regular chairs, the foot fidgets will come in handy when they have extra jumpy days. All of the books give my students the ability to access reading materials that although are below their grade level, are right where they are able to read and comprehend. Having books like this will foster a love for reading once they see that it is not tough, and can be a pleasurable experience. There are also a lot of weighted sensory toys. These will help keep my students grounded and calm when they are sitting. The games and magazines are all to help the students acquire their academic skills in alternative ways.
