My students come from many different backgrounds and home situations. I teach two half-day kindergarten classes in Nevada. My students only attend school for 2 ½ hours each day. They come to school each day with the desire to learn and a desire to be taught. Some students come into school recognizing all their letters and sounds, while some come in never holding a pencil or seeing a book.
