The resources I chose for my project include Hokki Stools. These stools would be implemented into the seating for our small group reading and math table. Being that both reading and math are taught in 80% small group, it is vital that the students have the opportunity to comfortably sit on something other than the floor or their desk chair. It is overly important to me that me students feel safe and comfortable within my classroom. Providing them with this different seating option will help to motivate students to come to small group instruction willing to work hard and be able to stay focused on their tasks because it is a comfortable seating option. Much research supports the idea that if the students are given choices, they are more likely to work hard and stay focused.
