We need a Cricut machine and accessories to spread positivity throughout our school and community. I would like to have my students use the Cricut Explore Air 2 to create positive messages to share with others. They can use the Cricut design space to create images and sayings that promote positivity and cut those out on paper, vinyl, or heat transfer vinyl to share those positive messages. Students will be able to spread their positivity by making signs that can hang around our school, make shirts to wear to spread those positive messages, and do random acts of kindness for others while spreading their messages in a variety of creative ways. Students would have the opportunity to decorate our student and staff bathrooms, classrooms, cafeteria, and hallways if this project is funded. I teach in a city school, where poverty is prevalent and my students have much more than academics and "kid stuff" on their minds. However, I hope my students can learn from a young age that they can truly be the change we all want to see in the world. They can defeat bullying, negative body images, hate, and racism by spreading kindness and acceptance. I will promote positivity through growth mindset. Students and I will use Class Dojo and social media to track their messages of positivity and inspire those around them!
