Morning meeting is an engaging way to start each day! This year I will be implementing morning meeting with my first grade students. When implementing morning meeting, it is important to have a space that is circular so every child can be seen and heard. The use of an oval area rug from Lakeshore Learning will make it easy and comfortable for students to interact with each other. The morning meeting spot will set the tone for respectful learning, where we can build a climate of trust, with compassion and empathy for our peers. It is here where we will greet, share, move and interact to find out more about our peers and what is in store for our busy day ahead!
