I chose to focus on physical education shoes and clothing for my 6th grade students. I really want the students to understand the importance of exercise in their everyday life. We have health class for 3 weeks and then physical education for 6 weeks each quarter. In the health classroom, we read and talk about why being active is important, both mentally and for our health. I know that some of these kids do not have appropriate gear and I do not want them to feel embarrassed and not want to participate because of something they can't control. To help this, we are requesting shoes, shorts, and tights to help out the 6th grade. It important to get these kids moving and feeling good about themselves!

About my class
