Because children are very dynamic, my class needs change each year. I am excited to incorporate flexible seating as an option for my students who are used to the traditional classroom set up. My students need flexible seating options to help them engage in the materials that we are learning in an unconventional way. We will use the bench for our Independent Reading Nook. The students will be able to earn the chance to sit at our cafe bench if they are focused and participating during the whole group lesson. The stools will be used at their desks as an alternative option to the traditional seats. Because our school day is long, the yoga balls will give them a chance to expend their energy while they are still learning the curriculum for the day.
