Middle school can be a rough time! Students are managing complex relationships with family and friends. They are dealing with stress, anxiety, and changing emotions and bodies. For these reasons I am striving to provide my students with tools that will allow them to focus on their class work. The basketball hoop will be a positive incentive for student behavior as well as a means of allowing students to take breaks in order to help them reset and get learning ready. The stools will provide outlets for students who need additional movement and the sensory tools will help my students manage their distractions and focus their attention on the day's lessons. The weighted lap pad will help students ease their anxieties. Ultimately, these items will help me assure that all students' needs are being met!
