I think it is important to plant the love of learning early in children to inspire them to become lifelong learners. Even though my students attend a Title One school, with very limited resources, I try my best to find materials to make learning a meaningful and fun experience! As a result, an important part of our learning takes place during center time. Learning centers are important in our classroom because they are opportunities for students to be fully engaged while learning at their own pace. During this time, students can work independently or in groups to further their understanding of concepts or reinforce certain skills. Additionally, they have the benefit to be involved in a variety of activities that interest them!
