In the gifted classroom, students must be influenced to use higher level thinking skills. My students want to solve mysteries. With the library of items that I have chosen, they will be challenged by accelerated content (Encounters with Archetypes), use career-related topics (Think Like an Engineer), be introduced to performance assessments(STEM Projects), and encouraged to use independent thinking with almost all of this library of work. Genius Hour will be implemented in order to allow the students to pursue knowledge of their own personal passion. This pursuit should govern the most important skill of all, Metacognition ( thinking about thinking).

About my class
