Working with a group of diverse learners requires careful planning, committed staff, and opportunities for independence outside of the walls of a special education classroom--because every student deserves to be a part of their school community. iPads can be used in classrooms throughout the school, and the new seating options requested can provide physical boundaries for students who need the added visual and tactile reminders as they participate in large group time with other students. By funding technology and other classroom resources, students can be provided a chance to venture into classrooms with their peers while receiving accommodations that make these learning environments less intimidating.
