In our classroom we are all learning Humanities, but we come with varied levels of English development. To help support students in accessing content as well as working at independent levels in our technology support programs we use a lot of individual white boards to keep track of reminders as students move through the programs. Having a set of headphones for every student ensures that everyone can hear and focus on their activity throughout the block. Working with expo markers on our personal white boards helps students note down reminders and practice before committing to final answers. They use these materials every day throughout the year and it allows me to provide more differentiated access points for each of my students.
