By having flexible seating in my classroom, my students will be able to easily find a comfort level, focus more on learning, and get their classwork completed in a timely manner. Most of my students find it very hard staying still in their desk, which can cause them to become very irritable leading to them not pay any attention to classroom instruction and/or not completing classroom work. With flexible seating choices, my students will have the opportunity to choose what works best for their learning style depending on their learning needs. When children are given choices, they begin to feel more independent and begin to perform better. By having just a small choice, such as seating they would prefer, they will be able to focus on instruction quicker and stay engaged longer. Once the students are able to see that they can be successful in the classroom, grades and behavior will start improving.
