Yarmouth is a blossoming community that is quickly outgrowing its schools. With an influx in population, I was added as the seventh kindergarten teacher at the beginning of this school year. As a start-up classroom, my leveled classroom library doesn't quite have the bulk my students deserve. A classroom library provides students with endless experiences. By helping to beef up our leveled book baskets, you will be enabling each student in my class to read at their own pace, refine their individual skills, and become well-rounded readers. In order for readers to stay engaged and get the most out of their reading time, experts suggest they have 10 "Just Right" books per week in their personal book boxes. Right now my students only have enough books to shop from every two weeks (and to say that a good chunk of them are held together by tape is an understatement). Please help me fill my students' library with new, high-interest, quality leveled texts so that I can help foster a life-long love of reading!
