Being organized and having the most appropriate equipment to address the needs of students with severe disabilities is key in to their success. They often need special seating to help address attention deficits as well as physical needs. In a classroom that requires a lot of equipment and items to address the needs of the students, storage is easily filled, so by adding furniture, I am adding storage and creating spaces in the class so that students know what areas are for certain activities. This shelf will help to create a sensory area for the students to go to to address their sensory needs while providing boundaries and storage.

About my class
