Dr. Seuss says it best: "The more you read the more things you know. The more you know the more places you will go." I am requesting a classroom leveled library. I have a varying set of readers in my classroom, therefore I need a varying set of books. Having a leveled library allows students to choose books that are high interest but also high vocabulary. They will be able to grow and monitor their growth as they progress through their levels. This also allows for the students to make their own choices in reading. As a teacher, we have to provide our own classroom library. On our teacher salary, this is simply not possible. This will allow my students to read such a high potential.
