Our new Language Arts curriculum is driven by annotating text in consumable books. This requires the teacher to sit at the document camera and project the text onto the whiteboard, however this makes it impossible for the teacher to simultaneously be walking around the room to check for understanding. Not being able to monitor my students' learning, while teaching a lesson is a huge disadvantage. An iPad and Apple TV would allow me to view the text on my iPad while projecting it onto the whiteboard, therefore allowing me to walk freely around the classroom to monitor my students' progress.
