Flexible seating options help students focus more during class and independent learning time. Many of my students need movement to help them concentrate while they read and write and these seating options will give them a way to move while sitting at their tables.
My students are better motivated and more engaged when they are given the appropriate tools, and these seating options are the tools that they need. During class-time and independent work time students are given the option to use different forms of seating, with the knowledge that they will be used to focus better.
The seating options I have chosen, such as the wiggle seats and chair cushions, will give my students that need movement a way to move that will not disrupt other students and their learning.
The chairs that we have available in our classroom at this time are traditional seat that my students have a hard time getting comfortable in. The stools will give students another seating option that will allow them to become comfortable while they are learning.
