My 25 Third Grade students are highly motivated and love learning. They live in a poor urban area and come from low income households, but they enjoy coming to school everyday. The majority of the students come from non-English speaking homes and come to school with a limited vocabulary and poor reading skills. Unfortunately, many of their parents are unable to read with them at home and it is important we provide them lots of literacy opportunities at school.

About my class
