Throughout the day my students move around the room for every subject in an area they can work best. Some students prefer desks, some prefer the floor and some just need to move. The rug will provide a place for us to gather during group activities as well as a place for students to spread out comfortably during independent work. The balls will provide those students who need to wiggle some opportunity for movement while still being present at the table for work space. The classroom scissors would be a great help as some students brought them to school this year and some did not so without a class set, we often share. With this being my second year in the classroom, I am slowly getting the materials I need to meet the diverse range of students that pass through my special education classroom year to year. I know these additions would be beneficial to my students for years to come.
