I teach Kindergarten-5th grade STEM and gifted education to over 150 students every week. We are an inner city title 1 school and the oldest school in the district. Our school has 12 general education teachers and one in each grade is a bilingual educator. Our students are diverse in their abilities, racial and ethnic backgrounds, and socio-economic statuses. The students we teach every day are some of the kindest and caring students I have ever met. They dream big and do everything they can to accomplish their goals. My STEM position is new to the school and something the kids and teachers really enjoy as I educate them on skills and topics they may not regularly see or learn about in their general education classrooms as well as in their personal lives.
