Attendance Spreadsheet, ClassDojo Web browser (incentives), Lesson Plan, PowerPoint, Videos, interactive platforms (PearDeck, NearPod, Google Classroom), soundboard (applause, gong, whistles), music, etc. There is a lot going on behind the scenes when teaching remotely. Teachers are competing with everything else students view on a their monitor for their attention. The more you can add to that experience, the more engaging and interesting you can make your time with them. Unfortunately there is only so much you can do with just one screen that’s why multiple screens are a must for teachers. Imagine just some of the jobs required for television production (Animator, camera operator, director of photography, music director, sound mixer, performer, etc.). Then remember all of the jobs that come with teaching (reading, writing, math, science, art, social studies, SEL, ESL, parent coordinator, psychologist, etc.). Now try doing all on one screen.
