I am the Science Lab teacher at Green Valley Elementary School in the Galena Park Independent School District. I teach a diverse group of enthusiastic learners. The students I service are from a low socioeconomic background and more than 80% of the students are on free or reduced lunch. Many of the students are classified at-risk for academic failure due to grade retention, homelessness, and being English Language Learners. I would like to close the material gap so my students can be competitive in a STEM society.
