My students will be able to sit closer to me on the rug, so they will be able to hear and see better. This will help to improve my students' grades. I will also use the rug to model what they are expected to do. The class has tiles, so I do not want to sit on the tiles. Most of the instruction is done with them sitting at their desk, but sometimes they have to sit on the floor too. From their desk, most of my students that are 7 years old do not pay attention to close details. I have tried to use a carpet square, but they do not work when they are moving a lot. A carpet is more comfortable for them to sit on. This year is a critical year as they need to be prepared for third grade which is a just around the corner.
