Our junior high school is filled with approximately 550-600 seventh and eighth graders. I teach 4 classes of 7th grade science and 1 class of 7th grade PreAp science. We live in a historical community of around 10,000 people. The city has a small town atmosphere and it offers a variety of cultural opportunities. We have many historical buildings and museums as well as a professional theater. Our school was built in the 1920's and is in desperate need of repair! We do have limited resources due to budget constraints, however we are still able to create a rich learning environment for the students. They are eager to learn and are excited about the possibility of getting new materials to help them become better scientists.

About my class
