Deskless classrooms? What? How can this be? It’s true! This year my Spanish I and II classes will be deskless. This will promote focus and communication by eliminating the barrier of a desk. Students will find it easier to track with their eyes, resist the temptation to lay down, and be more attentive, among other benefits. However, with the lack of a hard writing surface, our classroom needs a set of sturdy clipboards! These will be stores in the classroom and be easily accessible to students as needed. I’m so excited for this year, but these clipboards are essential to making this deskless classroom function!
