Dramatic play is a crucial area for the development of the social and emotional development in preschool children. Through the use of new materials such as props, clothing, a kitchen set and dolls the students can explore cooperative learning and practice literacy, social and creative skills in the dramatic play center. The dramatic center will expose children to meaningful learning experiences and support a better understanding of collaborating with peers. A few activities they will be able to participate in is having a grocery store, doctor's/veterinarian office, using their imaginations to create castles and worlds in their minds. Through these activities students will gain a stronger sense of literacy concepts, math, and daily living skills.
