My students attend school in California, we recently passed a law that moves up our start date. This year, though, I have had a group of 4 year olds start school who weren't ready. These students are wonderful, zealous, energetic, and a lot of fun to be around. The one problem though is that some of these students and others in class are behind when they start school because they have not had the opportunity or resources to attend preschool. It is my mission every year to help these students and catch them up in order to be able to exit kindergarten on grade level.
