In kindergarten, students often times struggle with social and emotional development. I strongly believe that at this age, it is extremely important that children are given the opportunity to learn basic life skills such as: sharing, working together, taking turns, problem solving, and many more. These skills are learned best with real life experience that can be done through play. With more options for play and dress-up, my students will be given opportunities to develop essential skills in life, through play. As a newer teacher, I have slowly been building up play opportunities; however, I feel like my students need more options to choose from.
