The wobble chairs, modern ball chair and bean bag chairs will encourage students complete their tasks or to move from one area of the room to another to better focus or concentrate. They will be strategically placed where students can work together when needed or by themselves if they’ve reached their breaking point and need to isolate themselves or need some form of sensory satisfaction. The ability to make these decisions by themselves or with guidance is also an important skill they learn and can only be done by having these options available to them. The boundary chair will be used in my social emotional center where the student can go to and reflect on their feelings and work on coping skills to make better decisions on their behavior. The wiggle cushion can be placed on any chair in the room for students that need some sensory or movement to complete an assignment at their desk. My room must be set up in centers with different areas to meet the needs of all of my students and these different chairs will help!
