Imagine walking into what you thought was a typical elementary but instead encounter kindergartners delivering mail on tricycles, a third-grader presiding over a court case, first graders writing citations in the hallway, a café with a waiting line and a busy art gallery. Imagine empowering students to take control of their own learning by creating their own world to run. MicroSociety is a program designed to motivate, improve critical thinking skills, raise academic scores, decrease discipline and increase parent/community involvement. Reflect on the skills that we use daily, our students (citizens) will experience the real world in the safe environment of our school walls.
