Having these four simple rectangular tables will just make my classroom function so much more effectively and efficiently. Currently students must sit in very old desks connected directly to a chair. Not only are these uncomfortable, but they make working in groups very difficult. Having just 4 tables will give my classroom another option for seating. It will allow for small groups of students to sit and collaborate together, and make small group instruction where I pull over specific struggling students so much more easy and effective. Using space effectively is so important in a classroom and this will allow me to reach my students in a much more practical and efficient way.
