If my students have good quality take-home book bags, they will be able to bring a book home to read every day. These book bags will be specific to hold their "just right" books we use during our reading workshop. My students will be able to choose one of their reading books from that day's lesson and practice it at home. The books are a ​soft cover so I worry about damaging our school resources, but with sturdy book bags, that will reduce the chances of that happening. A book is like a gift. Each day these kiddos will be given the gift of a book to share their reading with loved ones at home.
